In October 2025, I led two workshops back to back. The first one was for the North American Nature Photographer’s Association (NANPA). This was a relatively short workshop- just 2-1/2 days, but we packed in the excursions, hitting sixteen different spots from Friday morning until Sunday morning. Then for my own Images of Acadia workshop, I had a smaller group than normal, but the smaller size only made it easier to get to know each other well and I think this might have been the ‘tightest’ group I’ve ever had.

The 2023 workshop wrapped up a few weeks ago, after five days of early wake up calls, shooting the sunrise through to the sunset, and exploring the park with our cameras. We had a full contingent of eight photographers, plus our ‘special guest’ and my good friend Adam Pratt (formerly of Adobe Systems), who is a wealth of knowledge in all things Photoshop and Lightroom, or anything else in the Adobe realm…

Get ready for the 2023 Images of Acadia photography workshop! This is always a highlight of the year for me and I can’t wait to do it again this October. The dates will be October 10-15th… prime time for the Autumn foliage.

The Images of Acadia 2022 workshop was one of the best ever, with some of the nicest photographers I’ve ever had. We hit the road running, usually visiting 3-5 locations each day, starting with a 5:30am meetup then heading out to seek the sunrise, taking a break or two for breakfast and lunch, then ending the day with a sunset shoot somewhere in the park.
