The Photographer's Guide to Acadia, 3rd Edition (2020)

The third edition of The Photographer’s Guide to Acadia e-book is out now! I’ve spent the past two months adding new sections, re-writing and editing old ones, adding over 40 new pictures and several new locations I’d never even been to when the last edition came out in 2017. There are now 276 pages, 238 photos and over 230 links to Google Maps and other websites.

You may be asking… why? Why put out a guide book right now when travel is so restricted and no one is encouraging anyone to visit Acadia? I’m certainly not going anywhere for a while. But as bad as the coronavirus pandemic is right now though, it will eventually pass and life will settle down to its new normal. People will travel again, enjoy hobbies like photography and once again, be able to socialize face to face.

In the meantime, use your time in self-isolation to improve your photography skills and learn more about Acadia. Plan that trip to Maine you’ve always wanted to do. Think about a brighter future without restrictions once more.

One thing is true– when this pandemic passes, there will be global, worldwide relief not seen since the end of of World War 2. People will want to get out, leave their homes, visit their extended families and friends again, and travel to beautiful locations. I hope you’re able to do that once again, very soon.

Stay healthy everyone.
